We are happy to announce that our lab has received funding from the SNF for two project proposals! This is a huge achievement for our lab and we are looking forward to working on these topics.
The first project from Thiemo Wanbsganss, together with Léane Wettstein and Chenyang Wang, focuses on reliance calibration in educational settings: “Understanding Learners’ Reliance Behaviors on AI and its Effects on Metacognitive Skill Development”. This project is also supported by an international team of leading experts in the fields of AI, education, and feedback: Prof. Dr. Victoria Pammer-Schindler (TU Graz), Prof. Dr. Juho Kim (KAIST), Prof. Dr. Rene Kizilcec (Cornell University), Prof. Dr. Matthias Söllner (University of Kassel), and Dr. Andrew Caines (Cambridge University).
The second project from Roman Rietsche, together with Andreas Göldi, focuses the provision of AI-based support in goal setting: “When to Persist, When to Rework: AI-Supported Goal Reworking During Action Crises”. This project is also supported by an international team of leading experts in the fields of behavioural change, AI, and social psychology: Prof. Dr. Lyle Ungar (University of Pennsylvania), Prof. Dr. Sarath Chandra Guntuka (University of Pennsylvania), Prof. Dr. Stefan Feuerriegel (LMU Munich), and Dr. Katharina Bernecker (Pädagogische Hochschule Bern).
